Rob will be on the cover of Entertainment Weekly with Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The issue will hit stands on November 18.

Twihards have long been anticipating seeing Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) honeymoon on Isle Esme and consummate their marriage amid flying feathers. And as audiences will see when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 arrives in theaters this Friday, the love scene does not disappoint.

But, according to the stars of the movie, things could have been even more steamy — if it weren’t for director Bill Condon needing to keep the action PG-13. “There’s a version where it was really intense,” recalls Pattinson in this week’s EW. “Cinematically, cut all together, it’s awesome,” says Kristen Stewart. “But we didn’t really do that scene.”

“And when we did,” adds Pattinson, “they kept telling us to stop.”

Here’s the newest cover of the May 6th issue of Entertainment Weekly, featuring Rob and co-star Kristen Stewart as their Twilight Saga characters, Edward and Bella.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY’S EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK AT THE FILMING OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1

New York, NY – Breaking Dawn The Twilight Saga starts drawing to a close this fall with Breaking Dawn Part 1. Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive look at the filming of Stephanie Meyer’s most gothic and controversial novel. Shooting Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 simultaneously involved filming round the clock for nearly six months at locations as far-flung as Baton Rouge, Vancouver, Rio de Janeiro, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The fact that the novel is so troubling and gothic – the saga’s finale is divisive even among Twihards – could only have added to the strangeness of the enterprise. “When I read the book I asked myself, How is this going to be a movie?” says Taylor Lautner, 19, who plays Jacob. “Everyone said if felt totally different than anything we’ve done before,” says Kristen Stewart, 21, who plays Bella. “Just the fact that I’m sitting there pregnant – it’s like, wow, are we really doing a Twilight movie?! Robert Pattinson agrees, fumbling for words to describe the plot. “It’s very, very, very strange,” says the actor, 24. “There’s just…it goes…there’s definitely, um, some interesting and weird stuff going on.” Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg says of the novel: “It is very much a departure. The first three books are about the love triangle, and coming of age in terms of relationships and romance. Breaking Dawn is really an adult story. Adds director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of PG-13 – “We shot everything – whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth…It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book. “In some ways it was disappointing not to be able to really go there,” she says. Asked if she ever imagined what an R-rated version of the film might look like, Stewart laughs and says, “We imagined it every single day.” To be clear, it’s not the honeymoon scene that Stewart wishes were more graphic but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.” As for Pattinson, he says, “I like the honeymoon scenes because it’s such a massive turnaround in Edward and Bella’s relationship.”

Bella’s pregnancy is controversial for other, trickier reasons as well. “It was an issue because I’m very pro-choice,” says Rosenberg. “But the truth is, Twilight is not the arena to be having the abortion debate. My approach to it is that having a child is a choice. More than a political issue, it’s about Bella’s reasoning, and articulating that was the challenge.”

After filming so many scenes of terror and blood, more than one member of the Breaking Dawn team says they liked shooting the wedding best. “I never would have thought I’d be affected in this way, but it was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.” For Lautner, Jacob and Bella’s bittersweet dance during the reception appears to have been as poignant as…a wedding. “It didn’t help that the scene itself was so emotional,” he says. “I knew it was going to be tough on the last day – and it was tough.”

Now that Breaking Dawn has wrapped, the cast can go their separate ways. The stars have clearly become close over the years, and not just Stewart and Pattinson. Pattinson, in a lovely bit of understatement, says this about his costars: “Having to spend so much time with people…it’s just nice when you like them. There is a real bond. I think also there’s something humbling about wearing the makeup and contacts.” He laughs. “Except Taylor – he doesn’t have to do a thing. He’s managed [to do] no work on this last one. He’s always a wolf!” Pattinson laughs again, anticipating Breaking Dawn 2. “But he has to fall in love with a baby…. Oh, God, I can’t wait to see how that goes.” When Lautner is told of Pattinson’s ribbing, he says, “Oh my gosh. That sounds like him…And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’”

Director Condon says he’s among the many looking forward to seeing where the actors’ careers will take them. “Rob was the biggest surprise to me – just getting to know him,” he says, noting that out of the three, Pattinson is the least like the character he plays. “You spend time with him and you think, God, I hope you get to play this incredibly smart, funny guy that you are. Taylor is just a complete natural, a born entertainer. And Kristen,” he laughs, “she’s just hugely talented…I think she’s one of those people who will not fit into some kind of niche, but mold a career around who she is.”

Stewart is happy the filming is over, she adds, but mostly because she knows they’ve done it right. “I really am so satisfied with the entire experience this time around,” she says. “I really feel like we went through something, and it was captured. Who the f— knows how it will turn out, but that’s how it felt. We ended on such a high note, and that was the whole point of this one – to reach a state of exuberance.”

Rob is featured in the April 1 issue of Entertainment Weekly with Water For Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon!

Here’s more from inside the issue, thanks to EW:

NEW YORK – With The Twilight Saga nearing its end, everybody wants to know where Robert Pattinson’s career will take him next. Not even Pattinson himself is sure. In this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, he opens up about acting, fear, the future—and his new drama with Reese Witherspoon, Water for Elephants. Nothing makes an actor feel alive like getting to play someone who isn’t dead.

The movie, in theaters April 22, is a romantic period piece adapted from Sara Gruen’s bestselling novel. Pattinson plays a veterinary-school dropout in the ’30s who joins a traveling circus after his parents die, only to fall in love with the star attraction (Reese Witherspoon). Unfortunately, she’s married to the mercurial ringmaster (Christoph Waltz). “I liked the aspect of living on a train,” the English actor says. “Just that whole frontier thing. It seems to me the definition of America.” Pattinson says that signing on to Elephants, directed by I Am Legend’s Francis Lawrence, was a “no-brainer,” and that he’s considering his post-Twilight career very carefully—though ultimately he knows whatever will be, will be. “It’s impossible to predict anything,” he sighs before grinning. “When it all goes down the toilet, you can just weep.” “He’s an incredibly hardworking person with an incredible work ethic,” says Witherspoon. “He doesn’t ever complain. Not once. Which is sort of lower than the national average for actors. They’re always complaining. Especially the men!”

Twilight lovers will be happy to know that Pattinson is talkative and laughs easily— especially about the intense fame that’s followed him since Twilight became a phenomenon (“How is this still a story? It’s so boring”), about the darkness of the Breaking Dawn movies (“It’s going to be sooo weird”), and most of all, at himself. “I’d love to play a big fat person,” he says, contemplating a different look in a post–Edward Cullen era. No doubt it would just mean more of him for fans to love.

Entertainment Weekly: How was working with Reese?

Robert Pattinson: There’s something about her. She’s just this genuinely nice person. I don’t know if she puts an effort into creating a nice aura, but her mood dissipates over the whole set. It was a completely different environment from when she wasn’t there. All the kids and the animals were just drawn to her. It made it incredibly easy to do my part—all my reaction shots are just watching her work brilliantly. She’s really cool and she’s just…never, ever annoying. God, that’s the worst description, isn’t it?

EW: You’re almost finished with The Twilight Saga, with Breaking Dawn parts 1 and 2 wrapping soon. You’ve been filming for a long time.

Pattinson: I literally feel like we’ve been doing it my whole life. [Laughs]

EW: There are a lot of crazy things that happen in these last two movies—not the least of which involves a half-vampire baby’s horrific birth.

Pattinson: There’s some interesting and weird stuff going on—really very, very, very strange. It’s great. For a big mainstream movie, it’s the most obscure story line and really outside the box. It’s a horror movie. I’ve seen a few bits, and I just can’t see how it’s going to be PG-13… unless they cut everything out. [Laughs]

EW: Once Twilight is finished, can’t you do whatever you want?

Pattinson: I mean, I can. But at the same time, I think people have an incredibly short shelf life, and you can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career, other than doing what you think is cool. Generally, what I think is cool is whatever everybody else hates.

EW: Do you think after Twilight ends in 2012 you’ll be able to start living a more normal life?

Pattinson: It’s funny how it’s ending in 2012. This is how the world will end. But, um, I don’t know. I think most of people’s recognition is based on the magazines and stuff. All the gossip stories won’t work— they’re always combined with Twilight, so once that’s done and it can’t be combined with the promotion of the film, I think it will end. Because I have an obscenely boring life.

Portrait Magazine readers were asked in July to nominate celebrities whom they felt were most beautiful, inside and out. Rob was voted #6.

One reader, Elizabeth, wrote: “Robert Pattinson at a very young age of 24 has a certain “je ne sais quoi” which definitively sets him apart from the rest. He is stunningly photogenic and oozing with sensuality and a charisma he has no idea he possesses. With a style that is an emanation from his own being, a posh accent, a sense of the absurd, great musical abilities, and a sweet funny quirky personality, disarming yet unassuming, all of which magnifies his uniqueness. He gives articulate insightful interviews, wise and mature beyond his years. A well-read young man with depth. The fans and paparazzis relentlessly pursue him and as exhausted as he appears by it all, he handles the circus that surrounds him with a good-natured grin and self-deprecating charm and a persona that draws the young and old. I am looking forward to the entertaining saga of Robert Pattinson.” You may read the rest of the article at the source

Rob is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly for their sexy beasts issue. Unfortunately Rob’s character, Edward Cullen, lost out to Ian Somerhalder’s Vampire Diaries character, Damon Salvatore, for the #1 spot.

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for sending us the cover of the July 2 issue, which hits stands on June 25, and features Rob (as well as co-star Taylor Lautner. There’s also another cover with Kristen Stewart)!

Here’s more from the issue:

New York – The last two Twilight movies have earned more than $1 billion worldwide and supercharged their careers. Kristen Stewart is about to shoot an adaptation of Jack Karouac’s On the Road, Taylor Lautner’s embarking on John Singleton’s action thriller Abduction, and Robert Pattinson’s starring alongside Reese Witherspoon as a veterinarian in a traveling circus in Water for Elephants. The actors make an extremely tight trio: honest, protective of each other, and warmly familial. In person, as on screen, Pattinson and Lautner’s mutual affection for Stewart is the tie that binds.

Taylor, you and Rob have some pretty serious confrontations in this movie.

Lautner: Some of those scenes were pretty hard for me. I think we ruined a couple of takes in front of the house and in the tent. It’s just, I don’t know, I have a hard time looking at him…

Stewart: Ha! “I have such a hard time looking at him”!

Lautner: {Laughs} I wasn’t finished. He and I were thisclose to each other – we are literally, like, an inch away – and we’re screaming at each other.

Stewart: About to kiss…

Lautner: A couple of moments it felt like that.

Pattinson: Every single time we had to do a threatening thing to each other – for one thing, you always have your shirt off, and so in the tent scene I literally grabbed your breast. And it’s very difficult to remain in the moment. Also, in that tent scene, I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart.

Stewart: The word thought does not sound like fart.

Pattinson: It does.

Stewart: Maybe because you are an English person.

Pattinson: The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that.

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for passing along a teaser of their interview with Rob and Eclipse co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner!

It will be featured in Entertainment Weekly, on stands June 25!

Entertainment Weekly sat down with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner for a feature interview running in this week’s magazine to discuss the world they inhabit within the Twilight universe — both on screen and off. The three young stars opened up about coping under the glare of intense media spotlight, how they rely on one another to pull through, what they think of the upcoming final movie, Breaking Dawn, what lies ahead once the franchise wraps, and much more. In this preview, the three stars talk about gearing up for the final chapter of the saga that has changed each of their lives forever.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You guys are about to start shooting the two Breaking Dawn movies back to back. You signed on to this franchise before Breaking Dawn was written. When you read it, were you thinking, How is this going to be turned into a movie?
KRISTEN STEWART: Yeah, definitely. What is Renesmee going to look like? Is it going to be this little teeth-baby running around? It’s going to be weird.
ROBERT PATTINSON: [Laughs] “Little teeth-baby.”
STEWART: Yeah, but I think it’s going to be cool. One of the main objectives of the series is to get Bella to a point where she’s mature enough to make such a hefty decision, and she goes through a lot. In the fourth one, she is going to become a wife. She is going to become a mom. She is going to become an adult and a vampire. To do it so young, it needs to be believable. So I’m really excited about playing that.

Some people read Breaking Dawn as very pro-life and Mormon because Bella decides to have her baby even though it’s endangering her life. Did any of that bother you when you read the book?
STEWART: No, because it made sense. Not wanting to give up the baby is about her holding onto that last thing that she would have to give up if she was not human anymore. Right after she and Edward sleep with each other for the first time, she says, “Oh, f***, I might want to be human for a little bit longer.” The baby is just an even more intense version of that.
PATTINSON: I think people make up all these Mormon references just so they can publish Twilight articles in respectable publications like the New York Times. Even Stephenie [Meyer, author of the Twilight novels] said it doesn’t mean any of that. It is based on a dream.

The Breaking Dawn movies are the last in the series. How do you feel about all of this coming to a conclusion soon?
STEWART: In terms of shooting them, they’re almost done. We’re going to be done by March.
TAYLOR LAUTNER: It will be so weird, the last day of filming that last movie.
STEWART: It will be sad, too. It’s been one of the most crazy, indulgent experiences as an actor, to be able to follow a character for this long.
LAUTNER: I think stopping will be very weird.
STEWART: It will just feel like a chapter has been closed.
LAUTNER: A big chapter.
STEWART: I’m going to be like, “But wait, there’s this scene…”
