We thought that this year, we’d try something a bit different. Every Monday, we’ll hold a discussion of Rob’s different movies. (When the movies run out, we’ll turn to roles, possible projects, etc.)

This week, we thought we’d kick things off by starting with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We’ve seen that a lot of the fans (not all of them) first found Rob through this movie.

Did you discover Rob through Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? Is Cedric your favorite role Rob has portrayed? What’s your favorite scene with Cedric?

Let us know in the comments what you think! If all goes well, we’ll be doing this every Monday!

Jen says:

Jenn, that is complete blasphemy! hahaha… I also first noticed rob as cedrid, but for a very different reason than jenn. I had never read the hp books, and was vehemently against going to see the films in the theater….. but three of my friends nagged me until i gave in. i proceeded to complain until the movie started, and when i saw rob I turned to one of them and said, “i will shut up complaining if i can have him.: she said “sure,” and the complaints stopped. :P

i think my favorite scene is the one in the school-yard surrounded by his peers. rob looks to be having fun in that scene, and it shows through in cedric’s lines.

oh goodness, cedric is definitely not my favorite. it is very close between daniel gale and art.

Heidy says:

Cedric WOW…UHMM i DID NOTICE ROB ON THIS MOVIE FIST JUST LIKE JENN BUT I WASN’T ENTIRELY OBSESSED YET…IT WAS MORE JUST LIKE A PULL TOWARDS HIM THAN PLAIN ATRACTTION :p
As for my fave roll that would have to be Toby ;) Don’t know why but yes, The haunted airman rocked for me :)
weird… I know

Jen: you can’t have him, his mine :)

Ps: Sorry for all the capital letters missing, my shift key seems to be broken or not working here

akane says:

i saw rob in as cedric and i felt someting about him, i liked him.. then i saw twilight and i didn´t know very soon that was the same actor, but i fell in love with him when completely when i rode the books…

Emily says:

I thought he was too “pretty” and I never liked the popular boys…. I thought Ron’s brothers (the twins) were attractive :)

shimaa says:

i did see him first as Cedric and he was the main reason i became interested in twilight before i saw the movies or read the books.
my favourite scenes were the maze and when Harry was telling him about the first task in the school-yard.
Cedric wasn’t my favourite simply because i don’t think he had enough room to really show a lot of talent as his scenes were few with Harry in all of them which kind of steals his light. but i did love him in it and it’ll always be what first introduced him to me.

FM says:

I notced Robert first as Cedric and immediately had a “wow he’s hot” reaction. As Edward I still admired him. i only fell in love after i knew about his talents, his honesty, humble, and maturity. he wants to please his fans but refuses to capitalize on his popularity.

Jenn says:

cedric was the first role i saw him in, but i actually didn’t find him attractive at all. heh… i actually remember thinking to myself “wow, i thought cedric was supposed to be really good looking… wish they had gotten someone cuter”, but of course, that was before robsession hit me. :) i think daniel gale might be my favorite rob role so far… but i’m holding out for tyler in remember me. :) aaand, my fave scene with cedric is probably when harry brings his body back. i know rob doesn’t actually do anything in that scene, but i thought it was very emotionally resonant. <3
