LOVED this movie. Rob was brilliant! So was Javier Beltran, as Garcia Lorca. The scenery was lush and had the look of a much more expensive film. The music was, by turns, romantic, comedic, sad… always evocative. The movie did an excellent job conveying the subtleties of the relationship between Garcia Lorca and Dali. Going to see it again tomorrow.
I LOVED the film! It was beautiful! An artistic film of forbidden love during a difficult era. Rob & Javier did a brilliant job in their roles as Dali & Lorca. I feel the movie should have gotten more publicity and better reviews. People are missing out on an amazing film. Highly recommend seeing it!
I loved this movie it was absolutely wonderful I took a friend of mine with me to see it and she also really enjoyed it, we both want to see it again. Rob and Javier portrayed their characters excellently you could really feel the emotion and passion these two guys felt for their work and each other, in a time that it was punishable by death if was discovered. I do hope this gets some wider release so more people can see it and I can see it again. At the theater where I saw in in Santa Monica, they had free posters and free fold up promo describing the film, and the characters. I'll send it some scans when I get a chance. All in all a really great film that needs more acclaim and wider release.
I just saw LITTLE ASHES tonight; went to the 9:55 show in West Hollywood. I thought this was a really good movie. I was impressed with Rob during the ENTIRE film. He was excellent. Javier Beltran was excellent. It was very moving. A heart breaking love story; not to give anything away but I was literally sobbing at the end. If you are a Robert Pattinson fan DEFINITELY go see this movie- if you aren't a Robert Pattinson fan go see this movie. Also see HOW TO BE- another excellent performance from Rob. This guy has so much talent it's ridiculous!!!!
I loved this film so much. Even though I already loved Rob, his performance was the best I've seen. I must say, he really gets the chemistry thing; he was even able to pull it off with a guy (as well as with Kristen)! It was a great story, too, about a fascinating person all told within the context of historical drama. It was a forbidden-love story–my favorite kind! I loved it.
I was lucky enough to be in Chicago or I would probably not had the pleasure of seeing Little Ashes last night. I thought it was great. Robert was great, of course not prejudice here.
Saw Little Ashes today and liked it but was disapointed. Rob talked about being out of his comfort zone making this movie being naked but I don't know why, you didn't see anything of him. I really liked his acting playing Salvator and the chemistry between them was definitely shown. I hope it comes out on DVD here as I would buy it to see it again though. I went to New York City to see it. I saw How to be and liked him in that also. I am waiting for New Moon and anything else he makes.
Rob's portrayal of Salvador Dali was superb! Little Ashes was well directed and showed Dali's and Lorca's relationship and the turmoil it caused. The sex and nude scene were done tastefully. It's very sad how it ended. |
