I didn't see it yet...I just heard blips about it here and there. Without seeing the footage, let me just say that I think this is typical Rob fashion. Just do a polite, awkward grin, and leave it at that. The interview was over and done with...why go on about her statement. It'd require more air time, he doesn't want to get into it, etc. The fact that he didn't "claim her" in the sense of an acknowledgement spoke more volumes to me.
Disclaimer: Again, this is only in regards to the blips I have heard re: what transpired (since I didn't view the footage). I reserve the right to change/add to my initial thoughts on the matter, LOL.
However, I do believe the interviewer, Ann Curry, is not all that great at her job. From what I understand, Rob was taking the piss out of various things concerning the wedding, and she was gushing about the dress being a Carolina Herrera, etc. etc. From what people have been saying, it sounds like Ann was acting like she did with that infamous Brad Pitt interview...
