‘How To Be’ News: Canada Fans: Win ‘How To Be’ Merchandise and more!

A recent newsletter has been sent out from the filmmakers of How To Be, in which they have some news for fans in Canada!

HMV Canada recently launched PureHMV – a customer rewards program for all Canadian residents. Check out PureHMV to sign up and start earning points that you can redeem for exclusive How To Be items including How To Be t-shirts, film cans, and even a pair of pants worn by Robert Pattinson in the film.

Also, visit Canada’s CD Plus before Monday, August 2 for your chance to win a How To Be poster signed by Robert Pattinson! If you haven’t already picked up a copy of the DVD, you can pick one up there, too!

‘How To Be’ News

The official website for How To Be has sent out a newsletter with some great new updates!

We’re excited to announce that How To Be is now available for purchase in the United States, Canada, Australia, France and Germany, in addition to the UK!

The United States edition of the DVD from IFC Films and MPI Media Group features extras including a making-of featurette with behind-the-scenes footage, an interview with star Robert Pattinson, the theatrical trailer, plus a preview of Life Is Just A Game.

How To Be has also been released in Canada by Alliance Films, in Australia by Madman Films, in France by V’ISION and in Germany by Eurovideo and Savoy, who have put out this trailer in German.

Next month, How To Be will be released in the Commonwealth of Independent States and is set to premiere as part of the British Film Festival in Moscow. Please stay tuned for information on releases in Brazil, Thailand, Korea, Italy and the Middle East!

If you’re in the US and haven’t watched How To Be on IFC Festival Direct, make sure you do so! The movie is only available until July 28 on BrightHouse, Cablevision, Cox and Time Warner cable providers!

Also, Next month, fans in South Korea can catch How To Be at the 5th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, which will be held from August 13-18!

As we reported back in May, the Region 1 DVD for How To Be will be released in the fall. Now, we’ve got a release date! According to IFC Films, the region 1 (US) DVD of How To Be will be released on November 3rd!

“How To Be” Fan review!

Thanks to Caroline for sending us her review of How To Be and her experience at the Las Vegas Film Festival!

“The majority of the audience was, of course, females (there were maybe 5 men in the entire audience). The movie had a good mix of being funny and depressing at the same time. Rob did such a wonderful job in this movie with making the audience feel sorry for his character, Art. You just want to give him a hug throughout the entire movie.”

The soundtrack for How To Be is now available for pre-order through Dreamboat Records! The How To Be soundtrack will be released by Dreamboat Records on April 28. It features three songs performed by Robert Pattinson, the original score by Joe Hastings, and tracks by The Rollercaoster Project, Love, Captain Beefheart and The Roches.
